The Pequod catalog is enriched with a new line of ovoid subwoofers, extremely compact, designed around 8” quality long-excursion transducers. Flegonte is the system based on a single 8” transducer. The ovoid structure guarantees extreme rigidity. Made of composite materials, it guarantees extreme reliability and resistance to impacts, scratches and atmospheric agents. The close correlation with the larger system, Borea, based on a 12” transducer, is immediately evident. In Flegonte we find the same characteristics, in relation to precision and extreme cleanliness of emission. Extreme control and absence of perceptible distortions are fundamental characteristics of the new Flegonte system. The chosen transducer is an 8 “long- stroke, extremely high-performance, with a treated and damped paper cone, with a generous ferrite magnetic system, and a 2” voice coil.
