WWE Experience

On February 16, 2024, Riyadh Season unveiled the first WWE Experience in Boulevard City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This groundbreaking project aimed to immerse WWE fans and casual visitors alike in the electrifying world of WWE. Pulse Middle East oversaw the integration, installation, testing, and commissioning of the Audio, Visual, and Lighting systems, creating an unforgettable experience.

The seamless integration of AVL systems throughout a diverse environment including retail spaces, interactive zones, escape rooms, museum exhibits, and the wrestling arena transformed the WWE brand into an engaging and immersive experience. This integration of audio, visuals, and lighting allowed visitors to embark on a dynamic journey of entertainment and interactive exploration.

The project presented significant challenges for Pulse Middle East team, requiring the completion of a vast scope of work within a tight timeframe, including detailed design, schematics, procurement, supply, delivery, and installation in under 2 months.

Pulse Middle East installed a range of  notable equipment, including:

  • QSC Core 5200, Core 8 Flex & CX-Q Amplifiers
  • Netgear AV over IP Switches
  • Prolights ECLFSBK, MOSAICFX, STUDIOCOBFCBK, ASTRAWASH19PIX, ASTRAHYB330

Additionally, we installed over 300 strategically placed speakers to customize the sound experience.

However, lighting effects in the escape room were achieved through a combination of haze machines and dark moods, synchronized and triggered through game action integration and timecode. In addition to some video enhancements included four flying screens above the wrestling ring to create a holographic effect, and projectors in the museum space projected onto special film for attractive holographic displays.

Pulse’s innovative solutions involved proactive planning and adaptability. The project’s success exceeded initial expectations due to effective communication and problem-solving. The client envisioned the audiovisual and lighting setup to enhance their space by creating different moods and scenes, reflecting the essence of WWE. The entire experience is integrated through a Netgear AV network with 28 network switches connected on a fiber backbone and a redundant fiber network.

QSYS controls the system’s start and end of day functions, managing hundreds of lighting, video, LED, and projection circuits, playing soundscapes, setting lighting scenes, pre-loading interactive elements, playing content on screens, and triggering time-coded elements.

The WWE Experience also featured interactive elements such as the “Become A Superstar” experience. This allowed visitors to select their own wrestler, music, name, colors, and entrance video, dress up in wrestler outfits, and walk down the backstage entrance wrestling ramp to show off their pose, complete with personalized sound and light effects. Visitors could also have their photo taken and ready for purchase.
