Pulse Middle East recently completed a sophisticated AVL (Audio, Visual, and Lighting) system installation at SUSHISAMBA, located at the top of the Capital Tower skyscraper in Singapore.

This project marked Pulse Middle East’s first venture into Southeast Asia, adding to its growing portfolio across Asia. The success of this installation has not only extended Pulse’s geographical reach but also deepened its understanding of the region’s AV standards and practices.

The AVL system implemented at SUSHISAMBA integrates both lighting and audio over a network, allowing control from smartphones and tablets, with Xilica serving as the central control hub.

For the audio setup, Pulse Middle East selected high-quality equipment, including Martin Audio FlexPoint and CDD speakers, SX subs, and Pioneer DJ decks and monitors. The loudspeakers were strategically installed along the interior walls of Level 52 and the mezzanine to provide comprehensive audio coverage across the venue’s main areas. Ceiling speakers were also installed in specific locations, such as private dining rooms, washrooms, and corridors, to ensure targeted sound distribution.

In terms of networking, Pulse implemented a robust infrastructure using Ubiquiti Dream Machine, UniFi Switching, and U6-Pros, ensuring reliable and high-speed connectivity throughout the venue. The rack equipment included Linea Research amplifiers, a Xilica DSP Control system, and products from Visual Productions to enhance both control and audio performance.

The lighting system featured Vision Professional Lighting Viper 150W lights, strategically positioned on the mezzanine floor to enhance the atmosphere in the Sambaroom with dynamic moving lighting. The lighting setup was designed to be hot-swappable, allowing the control to be seamlessly switched from the Chamsys QuickQ 20 lighting console to an iPad, giving restaurant managers the flexibility to manage the lighting and atmosphere directly from their mobile devices.

Pulse Middle East highlighted that this capability to control a dynamic, club-like environment from a mobile device significantly enhances flexibility and user convenience for SUSHISAMBA.

A sophisticated audio zoning system was also installed, managed through Xilica wall controllers and an iPad program. This system allows for precise control of each zone, enabling tailored adjustments to fit various operational atmospheres and creating a customized experience throughout the venue.

The SUSHISAMBA installation represents a significant achievement for Pulse Middle East, as it expands its presence in the Asian hospitality sector. Pulse’s team expressed excitement about future projects in the region, stating, “As Pulse’s first project in Southeast Asia, this opportunity has been incredibly rewarding. We hope the customers at SUSHISAMBA Singapore enjoy the new setup as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life.”
